Tri-Valley Counseling Center/Cornerstone Fellowship is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Lead Near Livermore, CA

SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment. Responsible for the appearance and cleanliness of public spaces, restrooms, classrooms, meeting rooms, and patios. Maintain the neat and clean appearance of courtyards, lounges, meeting rooms, and hallways.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Building Maintenance Responsibilities:

  • General maintenance and repairs include general carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, etc.
  • Minor repairs and upkeep on church-owned vehicles.
  • Furniture and fixture assembly and installation
  • Carry out our preventative maintenance programs and reports.
  • Direct contract vendors to maintain Landscaping, HVAC, Alarm Systems, Fire Sprinkler Systems, Etc.
  • Maintain building security: repair doors and locks.
  • Document and report progress and completion of projects Life Group

Janitorial Responsibilities

Supervise the oversight of Janitorial Service and part-time (16 hours a week) employee.

Outside Patios – Manage the oversight of Janitorial and part-time employee

  • Blow off patios with backpack blower each morning. Blow leaves from the sidewalk and parking lot as needed.
  • Auto scrub Entry Patios weekly or as needed. Clean and reset tables and chairs.
  • Power wash stains from concrete and pavers as needed. Remove gum with a gum remover and scraper. Mop and remove bird droppings. Wipe down concrete seating weekly. Remove cobwebs weekly. Clean, treat, and refill the outside fountain as needed. Clean garbage enclosure as needed.

Parking lot

  • Pick up trash from the parking lot. Walk the perimeter of the grounds and pick up trash from the planters.
  • Blow leaves from patios, sidewalks, and parking lots as needed. Remove leaves and debris from corners, edges, and behind parking blocks where they collect.
  • Evaluate lighting in the parking lot and replace lighting as needed.

Restrooms

  • Manage the oversight of Janitorial Service and part-time employee.
  • Review and evaluate the condition of the counters, sinks, glass, walls, toilets, urinals, and other miscellaneous items.
  • Restock paper towels and toilet paper as needed.

Carpet

  • Vacuum carpet and air returns as needed
  • Shampoo carpets on a schedule and as needed
  • Spot clean carpets as needed
  • Repair/Replace damaged carpet tiles

Garbage/Recycling

  • Maintain Trash enclosure.
  • Empty courtyard, restroom, and classroom trash cans after each event. Check during events and empty as needed.
  • All trash cans must be emptied daily, especially those containing discarded diapers or food.
  • Empty recycling receptacles into the proper recycling bin.

Room Set-ups: Set up rooms as scheduled and needed.

  • Consult room schedules daily in Central.
  • Set the thermostat to a comfortable setting for the time of the event. Turn off after the event.

Restocking/supply orders

  • Restock paper in copy areas
  • Bring cases of copy paper to the front office, upstairs office, and resource room—Restock supply cabinets. Bring misc—special paper as directed.

Janitorial Supply ordering

  • Keep an inventory of Janitorial supplies and order supplies to stay stocked.
  • Receiving and distribution of Costco and Bettencourt orders.
  • When pallet shipment arrives, distribute supplies to each ministry to fill each order. Place empty pallets in the storage area for collection.
  • Package delivery from Shipping & Receiving to destination.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full/Part-time Facility staff (non-leads)
  • Train and supervise Facilities staff.
  • Direct and prioritize their daily duties. Inspect their work to make sure it is satisfactorily completed.
  • Schedule their work hours. Arrange a replacement when they ask for time off. Schedule additional staff when needed for significant events.

  • Regular attendance in ministry and worship at Cornerstone Fellowship
  • Regular, timely attendance in the workplace
  • An active and growing relationship with Christ through participation at Cornerstone Fellowship campus and in a Community Group

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
